John W. Herdje, CFA
“Successful investing requires both discipline and patience, and they’re both a part of my mentality and investment approach. Years of experience and a long-term view help me think objectively for my clients and make sound financial decisions.”
John Herdje is the managing director of Ramsay, Stattman, Vela, & Price’s Princeton, New Jersey office. John’s desire to help people initially sparked his interest in his financial career. He is particularly pleased with his long-term client relationships, some of which span over two decades through various bull and bear markets. After twenty years of Wall Street experience, he is excited to be with a firm that focuses on taking an individualized approach to help clients achieve their financial goals and objectives.
John received his BA in Economics from Rutgers University with honors from the Phi Beta Kappa Society. After working as an accountant for Exxon, he moved to Los Angeles, where he received his MBA in Finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. In 1985, John began his investment career as a senior financial counselor working with corporate executives for Asset Management Group. Before joining Ramsay, Stattman, Vela, & Price in 2009, he worked as a Vice President for The Bank of New York and as a Senior Vice President at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company.
